Keatley for Georgia 10.05.2021

John Jackson for Dekalb County Democratic Party Chair! John and I had a long talk about how to best continue building on the progress Dekalb Democrats have made in the past two years. John wants to bring people together to build our fundraising, field and grassroots outreach abilities throughout the county. He believes, as I do, that maximizing turnout in Dekalb is key to the future of our state’s democracy and to Democratic victories in any run for statewide office. I am impressed by John’s dedication and by the leadership he has shown as President of the Dekalb Young Democrats and am confident he can chart a path forward as Chair of the Dekalb County Democratic Party. My vote is for John Jackson!

Keatley said he wants to protect veterans and spoke about the wage gap for women. -- Newnan Times-Herald, 10/29/18 Our state must do better. The race for labor commissioner of Georgia offers an intriguing contrast between incumbent Mark Butler, the first Republican to hold the office, and Democrat challenger Richard Keatley, an avowed progressive who left his university professorship to enter politics. -- Marietta Daily Journal, 10/18/18 This race offers two very distinct paths forward for Georgia workers. Do we want to empower workers or continue giving handouts to big corporate interests? #TeamKeatley

George H.W. Bush put off his studies and enlisted on his eighteenth birthday after his country was attacked at Pearl Harbor, becoming the youngest aviator in the U.S. Navy. This is the statue that captures that youthful enthusiasm on the aircraft carrier named in his honor! America lost a great public servant today.

I was thrilled to join Georgia’s next governor, Stacey Abrams, in Columbus, Carrollton, Newnan, and Fayette County. Together, we will work hand-in-hand to create a Georgia that works for all of its people. I look forward to the opportunity. Now let’s go win this thing! #TeamKeatley

Dear Georgia, I’ve seen your beautiful mountains and plains, your rivers, trees and fields, farmlands, towns and the skyscrapers and suburban landscapes of the capital. It’s been a long and challenging road, but I feel privileged for the 29,929 miles I was able to put on my Ford C Max Energi since last October. Most of all I feel grateful for having had the chance to meet with thousands of great, hard-working people whose labor is Georgia’s greatest resource. I would like to ...thank the farmers and teachers, electricians and nurses, students and retirees, the stevedores and carpenters of Savannah, steelworkers of Dade County, truck drivers and movie-makers and the men and women who build Atlanta... and all the men and women in uniform, their moms and dads, and the veterans who have chosen to call Georgia their home... It has been my pleasure meeting you all and, should you so choose, I will be honored to serve you for the next four years. Sincerely, Richard Keatley

This group of Young Democrats at UGA is passionate, energetic and ready to make a change in Georgia. They were all fired up to cheer on their Dawgs and beat the Gators on Saturday, and to win this election in November! The Dawgs got it done, now it’s our turn! #TeamKeatley

This election has given me the opportunity to meet some truly inspirational people, none more so that Civil Rights leader and U.S. Representative John Lewis. It’s because of this that I could not be more excited and humbled to announce his formal endorsement of our campaign. #TeamKeatley

Cleland knows what's best for our state. Thank you senator for your endorsement. I'm truly honored! #TeamKeatley
