KEMRON Awarded New MCAS Yuma Road Grading/UXO Clearance Project! KEMRON is pleased to continue our support of training activities at Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range in MCAS Yuma with the recent award of a task order from NAFVAC SW to clear Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) from dirt service roads and then grade the roads to allow safe transit to target areas for training activities for 2507 North and South Ranges. The UXO clearance and road grading activities are scheduled for two separate range closure windows: September 2020 and three individual windows in December 2020 and January 2021. KEMRON conducted operational range clearance at these two ranges in the Fall of 2018, and it is good to be back at these active bombing ranges to support the continued training activities.

KEMRON welcomes Aaron Thacker as an Environmental Scientist/Engineer reporting through the Poca, West Virginia Office. Aaron graduated from Marshall University with a BS in Environmental Science and a minor in Integrated Science and Technology. Aaron is a STI certified SPOO1 aboveground storage tank inspector with experience managing a statewide AST program with over 1500 tanks. Aaron has also been involved with work on Title V air permitting, as well as NPDES storm water permitting. Aaron will be supporting several new AST projects in the Poca Office, as well as proposal and document development on ongoing private and federal projects.

KEMRON is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the EPA Region 2 Emergency & Rapid Response Contract (ERRS)! The contract is for CERCLA emergency, time critical, non-time critical, oil spill, and Stafford Act response in the states of New York, New Jersey and the territories of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. KEMRON held this contract from 2012 to 2015 where we completed 79 task orders totaling $42.7M providing a wide range of remediation services - waste removal/treatment, spill control, excavation, drum handling, tank cleaning/removal, building decontamination/demolition, waste treatment, T&D, site restoration, and building/operating groundwater treatment facilities. We look forward to working with EPA Region 2 on this important contract.

KEMRON is pleased to announce we have been awarded a contract for installation of Phase 1B of Closure Turf at the Mississippi Phosphate Corporation (MPC) Superfund Site. The award from USEPA Region 4 was under a full and open procurement and is our second such award for installation of this innovative closure fabric. MPC is a former diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer manufacturing facility in Pascagoula, MS.

KEMRON Awarded USACE Tulsa Contract for HTRW and MMRP Services! KEMRON has recently been awarded a contract through the USACE Tulsa District for the Multiple Environmental Government Acquisition Indefinite Delivery Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for Environmental Remediation Services (ERS). The scope of work to be performed under the ERS encompasses both Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) services. The majority of the work will be related to cleanup and investigation under RCRA, CERCLA, National Contingency Plan, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and other federal and state regulatory programs. The predominance of the work will be located within the Southwest Division. We look forward to working with USACE Tulsa District on this contract.

KEMRON is pleased to continue our support of NAVFAC SW with the award of a Time Critical Removal Action (TCRA) to clear MEC from two former mortar ranges at MRP Site 1 at Marine Corps Center 29 Palms, CA in order to allow development of the site. KEMRON has completed over $90M in MEC clearance projects in California over the past 5 years and is looking forward to returning these ranges to the Marines to support continued training at 29 Palms.
