Dr. Melissa had the pleasure of meeting, Mr. Handsome, Hank Bevacqua. Hank is a recent graduate of our Puppy Preschool program and Mom made the decision to entrust us with Hank's health and wellbeing as well. Thanks mom, for being a great pet parent! The key to maintaining a medication's therapeutic level is consistency and timing. Missed or delayed doses will affect whether the medication will be effective as prescribed by our doctors. For those with pets on a liquid form of medication, here's Jeremy with the best way to administer liquid meds. If you still have difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact us, we'll come up with a plan to ensure your pet is receiving their medications on a consistent and timely basis. https://youtu.be/lEvd30OuYZQ

Dr. Ann was graced with the incredible cuteness of these two brothers today, Enzo & Rocco Perrone. Being the hit of the day, these two Chichi’s were all puppy, and that’s how we like it around here. Both were champs for their vaccines and nail trim; of course, the sugar-free whipped cream was flowing. They both received Dr. Ann’s Healthy Puppy Approval, and we can’t wait to watch these boys grow. Welcome to the Family: Enzo, Rocco, Mom, and Dad!

Heartworms are not just for dogs! It's actually worse for cats. Feline heartworm disease is a lung disease rather than a heart disease as it is in dogs. The parasite is the same but because the heartworm's natural host is not a cat, the interaction between worm and host creates a very different condition. It isn't good for either the cat nor is it good for the worm. #HeartwormAwarenessMonth #heartworms #felineheartworm #catsgetheartwormstoo

This time of year allergies and ear infections are on the rise and we're beginning to see patients with ear hematomas from scratching and head shaking. Below is a bit about what can happen if a pet's ears are not cleaned regularly.

Handsome Maine Coon, Vader Motiejunas, was here to see Dr. Melissa today. Here you see Dr. Melissa going over his chart with him. As the picture shows, he was all ears and "curious" to learn about himself.
