It’s May, school is done, and Georgia is coming to life again! Kids Prompt Care is proud to say the We never closed in the COVID shutdown. Your children’s health is important to us and, even when a lot of people were afraid to go to a doctor’s office, we kept the doors open to meet your needs. With summer here there will be lots of bug bites, scratches, and falls. We can handle that! We look forward to helping you at KPC anytime! We are open 2 pm to 10 pm weekdays and noon to 10 pm weekends!

Dear KPC families, KPC is remaining open during the COVID outbreak, and we are prepared to safely help your children when needed! We continue to allow only one family in the waiting room at one time, and we will allow you to wait in your car and we will call you in when the office is clear for you! Our staff is spending hours upon hours cleaning the office for you, and we are proud knowing that none of our staff have become ill thanks to their diligent efforts! Children still get sick after hours and we are still here. We appreciate all of the trust you have give to KPC for 5 1/2 years!!!

Governor Kemp "Stay Home"directiveis in effect as of Friday. While we agree that all of us must be wise to reduce the Corona virus threat, we also want parents to know the medical office visits for I'll children are NOT restricted in the Governor's order. The heavy pollen is causing a lot of sinus infections, ear infections and wheezing. Problems like this should be treated and not put off. With school out and many parents not working, day time problems should be taken up with your regular pediatrician. KPC will be opening starting at 5pm on weekdays in April and May. We will still be open from noon until 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Please see the two post below to see how we are working to keep you and your children safe when they visit Kids Prompt Care.

Kids Prompt Care is open! KPC is an essential medical service, and we are not affected by the shut down of Augusta businesses. We will keep our regular hours. Many people ask what we are doing to prevent the spread of infections: - We are working to keep only one family in the waiting room at any time - You can call our desk from our parking lot, and we will tell you when you should come in... - All of our families are encouraged to bring only one child into the office - We are cleaning every exam room after every patient - We are washing our hands before every visit and applying hand sanitizer often Most ill children do not have OOVID 19, and we want parents to be unafraid to bring their ill children in for care. Kids Prompt Care is not equipped to test for COVID 19 virus. If a parent feels that they may have contracted that illness, we recommend going to any of the University Hospital Prompt Cares where screening and testing can be done. If a parent feels that their child has been exposed and has signs of COVID 19, children under 6 should be taken to the AU Children’s Hospital for evaluation. Older children can go to the University Prompt Cares. These times are stressful for families. Keep in touch with you friends and relatives and enjoy conversations with them. We can all look forward to when these medical restrictions are no longer needed!

The whole country is focused on the Corona virus outbreak! This is an important virus to watch out for, and it will soon be spreading in our area. Fortunately, children under 16 years of age are barely affected! We want our KPC patients to know that KPC cannot test for Corona virus. If you have concerns that you, your child, or a family member may have this virus infection please call your primary pediatrician and ask their advice on what to do. KPC will stay open to ser...ve your children who are ill. You will see some changes at the office that we are doing to keep you and our staff safe. The biggest change is we may ask you to wait in your car after you check in - we don’t want to spread germs in a busy waiting room. Also, please ONLY bring one child to KPC at a time. Again, we don’t want your not sick children to get exposed to any germs while at KPC. We thank you in advance for your help in managing this chaotic time! See more

Dear KPC families, School is less than 2 weeks old in Richmond County and we are already seeing a surge of colds and sore throats in school age kids! It doesn't take long for these germs to spread. One of the things Kids Prompt Care does best is get your kids treated so they can get back to school faster! Should your school age child come home sick; we are here to "mend them" and get back to class!

WE ARE OPEN ON LABOR DAY! Many pediatric offices are closed Monday (Labor Day), but Kids Prompt Care will be open to help you and your child with unexpected illnesses! Just as we stayed open through the whole pandemic, we are open tomorrow to help those in need.

To our Kids Prompt Care friends, You probably heard that KPC will be closing at 9 pm for the near future. We want to explain this undesirable action: Ever since KPC opened in 2015 the street lights on Walton Way have been disconnected and offer no light nor protection to the KPC building. Fortunately, the lights of McDonalds, next door, shed enough light on the KPC parking lot for our patients and staff to be safe. Recently, the McDonalds began closing, and turning their l...ights off at 9 pmleaving our parking lot very dark. To make things worse, the two pharmacies in Augusta that used to be open until midnight, are now BOTH closing at 9 pmso our late patients have now way of obtaining their prescribed medicines. We hope all of these changes are temporary. We will keep you informed. We truly appreciate the long standing trust you have put into our clinic and our staff! Kids Prompt Care
