KLA Schools of Chamblee

KLA Schools are safe and secure by design. We work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our facility as well as the safety of our furnishings and overall health of our children and their environment.

School is the perfect place to get a little messy and explore! Each moment of your child's day at a KLA School is filled with meaningful experiences and thoughtful interactions. In order to understand children and the way they learn, teachers work diligently to document all aspects of the learning process. From daily journals, child specific observations and children’s artwork, all moments are considered pieces of the process and are made visible in the classroom for revisiting and reflection. Teachers and children alike are able to view their thinking and their learning process through documentation.

Our friends in the three year old classroom loved using their sense of smell yesterday to explore different aromas and guess what the smell was!

Our Nido A class is creating our own miniature garden! Here we are painting our garden green, right before we painted tomatoes in our garden and counted how many vegetables we painted in total. Our friends loved the opportunity to be creative and get a little messy!

This week in our Class of the 3s we are learning all about light and shadows! Our friends had lots of fun today playing Guess The Shadow, where the teacher placed secret items on the projector and the friends guessed what item was casting a shadow. After we guessed that the item in this photo was a spider, we had so much fun singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider together!

Getting crafty in our Baby Nido A class this morning and using team building and fine motor skills along the way!

Raise your hand if you thought today was Monday? We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful holiday weekend! We are having a great Tuesday back in the classroom today!

We believe that all children have a right to high quality education. At the core of this concept is the child’s natural curiosity of their world coupled with a respect for the countless qualities and values that we believe each child is born with. Along with the support of parents, teachers, and the community, children will build their learning and development with determination and enthusiasm while learning how to discover knowledge and improve their communication skills as they plan and make decisions in small groups. They will become prepared to successfully excel in their lives as well as in their elementary, middle, high school, and university education, on which their future success will so greatly depend.

Individuality is one of our core values here at KLA Schools of Chamblee. All children are honored as individuals who are intrinsically motivated and are active participants in their learning.

Happy Monday, friends! Every day this week we will be sharing a photo of one of our KLA Schools of Chamblee graduates! We have a fun week ahead at our school as we continue Splash Play each day outside, among lots of other fun things in our classrooms. Stay tuned for more photos coming soon!

Hey Parents! Splash Play is next Friday, June 25th through July 30th! Please send your child to school with their swimsuit under their clothes. Students should bring a towel, an extra change of clothes, and a bag for wet clothes. If your child is not potty trained, please be sure to pack "little swimmers." Please apply plenty of sunscreen at home, and we will reapply if necessary. Also, please make sure your child brings closed-toed shoes that are water-resistant -water shoes... are always a good option. Students will change back into their dry clothes after they complete water play. Please make sure your child has an extra dry pair of underwear. Hats and sunglasses are permitted. You are welcome to bring any water play toys from home, except water guns, water balloons, or pool noodles.
