Thank you to all the people who went to the polls and voted for me or my opponent. Participation in the process is very important to me and I want to encourage everyone to be a part of the process moving forward regardless of who you supported, who your family is or where you are from. Let’s work together to enhance and collaborate with all entities to make Clayton an even more desirable place to live, work and play.

It’s time to start early voting! Let’s get out and vote and encourage your friends in the city to vote. It’s important that we pull people together to end the water wars in a way that helps everyone. We can do this and I have the relationships to help that happen.

1. What are the top three problems or issues facing Clayton? Water and Sewer Infrastructure Condition of the Roads and Sidewalks Lack of sense of community to achieve common goals... 2. What unique talents, skills or perspectives will you bring to Clayton as Mayor? As a proven business owner, I get to work with all types of people every single day. My leadership skills are my strength. I am good at finding common ground so things can move forward for the betterment of all. I have had the opportunity to lead several local and state groups that were very successful in bringing people together with very positive outcomes. 3. If it passes, do you believe Clayton will benefit from the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) referendum on the ballot Nov. 2, which is estimated to bring in $2,583,414 to Clayton? If so, how? Absolutely! This allows us to bring additional funding into our economy without increasing the property owner’s taxes which will greatly benefit Clayton. 4. Which roads and streets projects in Clayton do you feel are top priority? Shady Side needs to be repaired and opened. Marsengill needs a bridge and undersized culverts replaced Old Chechero Rd. and Old Screamer St. Widening streets that are dangerously narrow in highly populated areas 5. What specific Clayton SDS issues with county government are duplicate services and which are city enhanced services? The overwhelming issue here is that the city is not working in conjunction with the county to minimize duplication of services. My objective is to do whatever it takes to reduce the cost of services to city taxpayers. The intent of the SDS ACT is to provide a flexible framework for our local government and authorities to agree on strategies that would minimize duplication or competition. WE MUST WORK TOGETHER FOR EVERYONE’S BENEFIT. INTENT OF THE ACT Provide a flexible framework for local governments and authorities to agree on service delivery arrangements Minimize any duplication or competition among local governments and authorities providing local services Provide a method of resolving disputes among service providers regarding service delivery, funding equity and land use
