We are excited to share this amazing event. Autistic Self Advocacy of Atlanta is presenting this virtual panel discussion we hope to see you there!
From the amazing Anna Maki Please help!!!! Some talking points when you call.... - share impact to your family ... - ask why cuts are disproportionate (if the cuts are now 11% instead of 14% why 100% cut to new waivers and why 100% cut to intensive family support?) - share impact on small businesses that rely on family support funding to serve their clients - request consideration of increasing revenue (raising the tobacco tax to the national level would generate enough revenue to cover costs of all of these programs). Everyone needs to call. If we as a community cannot protect services for our most vulnerable citizens then who are we as a society? If you have a loved one with a disability, please call. The voices of parents are stronger than the voices of organizations. If you don’t have a loved one with a disability, please call. Your support as an ally is needed.
