And our moss covered small waterfall along with a springs that cascade down a ravine replenishes our Big Spring Pond. Depending on the day, we can offer our full breakfast on the screen porch / sun room of our Tree Top Room instead of served at the lodge. The Tree Top is a wing of our home which is next door to the lodge. We added this to our inventory of offerings many years ago as an overflow unit when the lodge is full. But, many guests book this vacation rental when the lodge still has rooms! They love the privacy and outdoor space. We had a full house of riders for today’s Six Gap Century race. We were at the lodge at 4:30 am to prepare a special riders breakfast served at 5:30 and 6:00 am. Here is the pack going up Black Mountain Rd about 6 minutes into the race. Saw several guests and friends.
