Debra (Deb) Jordan Hunsucker was born on Christmas Day 1954 in Elberton, Georgia to Dan and Elizabeth (Libby) Jordan. The family moved to Dalton in 1961. She was a 1973 graduate of Dalton High School and she received a degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Georgia in 1977. Upon graduation she returned to Dalton and married Vance Hunsucker. Deb loved to read, walk, decorate, sing, and cook for her family. Most of all she loved her family, and her four grandchi...ldren were the pride of her life. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Rock Bridge Church. Daily devotionals were an important element of her life whether they were read solitary or shared with friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Libby Jordan and her stepson Robbie Hunsucker. Deb is survived by her husband, Vance Hunsucker, children, Jordan Hunsucker of Golden, Colorado and Chris (Ashleigh) Hunsucker of Dalton. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Kylee, Kason, Reese, and Riley as well as her sister Jan Jordan Adamson (Mark), sisters-in-law Vickye Treadwell (David), Viva York (Deral), and brother-in-law Norm Hunsucker (Lisa) as well as nieces and nephews, Mary Beth York, Adam York, Laura Lynn Treadwell Hurst, Scott Adams, and Daniel Adams. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday at Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. See more

He was born on Sept. 19, 1936, to Ned and Reba Gable in Carrollton, Georgia, where he was raised. Lois Etheridge Laster, 92, of Dalton passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Evelyn Etheridge; step-mother, Amy Etheridge; son, Cecil Laster; sister, Elsie (Glenn) Mullinax. Lois is survived by her ever loving husband of 74 years, Frank Laster; daughters, Sandra, Judy, Doris and Diane; granddaughter, Sheila; grandsons, Tony, Carmon, Michael, Greg, Brian, Kevin and Tyler; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne, Mary Evelyn and Brenda; nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Wood Dale Health. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday at Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 9 PM at Love Funeral Home. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.

Robert Stoney Moore Jr., 55, of Dalton passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Moore. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Bob and Nancy Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Bill Blackwood; nieces and nephews, Beau and Hannah Blackwood, Allie Blackwood and Jackson Blackwood; great-nephews, Walt and Warner Blackwood. Stoney loved Catamount baseball and football and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Dessert Storm. He was a wonderful and kind friend who will be greatly missed. Because of Stoney’s love for dogs and animals the family asks that memorials be made to the Humane Society of NWGA, P.O. Box 3946 Dalton, GA 30719.

Sarah Sue Warwick Lusk went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 3, 2020. She was born in Knoxville TN, attended Central High School and the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Baptist Student Union. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church, where she became a Christian and served as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Pastor Search Committee. She and Buddy and their children moved to Dalton in 1963. She joined First Bapt...ist Church and served the Lord in many areas including Financial Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor Search Committee and Librarian. She loved to read and was devoted to Literacy programs in her church and her community. It was a blessing to hear someone read the Christmas Story from the Bible and to read to a grandchild both for the first time. She loved music and cooking and growing flowers. She and was always in awe of the beauty of God's creation. She was a member of the Four Seasons Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Maurice (Buddy) Lusk, and her parents, Estelle Warwick Lloyd, Clyde Moore Warwick and nephew, Darrell Cantrell. She is survived by her beloved children, Julie Lusk of Dalton, Kathy Fowler (Bill) of Marietta, and Kent Lusk (Donna) of Dalton; dearest sister, Nancy Cantrell of Orlando FL; Precious Grandchildren, Ryan Mullinax and Daniel Mullinax of Marietta, Blake Lusk of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Allie Bone (Garrison) of Columbus, GA; cherished nieces and nephews, Martha Hufstetler (Tom) of Marietta, Martin Lusk (Gail) of Overland Park, KS, Steve Lusk (Sue) of Nashville, TN, Ralph Cantrell, Jr (Kim) of California City, CA, David Cantrell (Donna) of Albuquerque, NM and Pamela Cantrell of Orlando, FL; many treasured friends. A private memorial service will be held on a later date. The family would like to thank Wood Dale Health Care and Hamilton Medical Center for their compassionate care.
