Dear McIntosh Clinic patients, As you are aware, there is a current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) that is having an impact on many communities across the world. Local and national governments are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. We support these precautions, though we realize that they can make the general public anxious. With the arrival of confirmed cases of coronavirus in southwest Georgia, we are also taking a number of precautions at McIntosh ...Clinic. Those precautions include: -Asking patients with fever and cough to please call the office before coming in for a visit. -Deploying signs at all entrances asking anyone with fever and cough to please call us before entering the building so that we can appropriately triage them per CDC guidelines. -Asking patients to follow social distancing guidelines while in the building. -Asking patients to come by themselves unless an additional guest is medically necessary. -Dedicating one room in an isolated part of the building for any suspected cases. We ask that you: -Not panic. This disease is serious and should not be ignored; however, simple personal precautions are the most effective. -Wash your hands regularly and completely. -Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and face. -Limit international and cross-country travel as much as possible. Sincerely, McIntosh Clinic
