Barbados Will Welcome Vaccinated Travelers Starting May 8th Barbados , News ... Jade Robinson Apr 12, 2021 If you’re looking to plan a vacation or heading to Barbados in the near future, the country has updated its COVID-19 travel policies. As vaccinations increase the island nation prepares for an increase in travelers. Visitors to Barbados who have been fully vaccinated using AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, or Johnson & Johnson will still need to be tested before reaching the destination. You must provide proof of a negative Covid-19 PCR test 3 days prior to your travel date and also provide proof of full vaccination on arrival. Upon arriving at Grantley Adams International Airport, you will receive a standard or rapid PCR test and use previously scheduled designated transportation while you wait for the results. Test results can take up to 2 days, and you must quarantine until you receive the negative result. Once a negative test result is produced, you can fully explore the destination. Additionally, children under 18 years of age traveling with fully vaccinated guardians will be able to follow fully vaccinated traveler guidelines. Updated rules go into effect on May 8th, and travelers are encouraged to check Barbados Travel Protocols for updates before their arrival. Also, be reminded before your departure from Barbados you will also be required to provide a negative PCR test, to re-enter the US.
