Many thanks to everyone who attended the MidTown Mingle. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was electric, and the guests were lively and happy to be there. Our hats are off to the the fantastic team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to put on a spectacular event!

The 5th Annual MidTown Classic 5K and 1 mile Fun Run is this Saturday at Wynnton United Methodist Church, 2412 Wynnton Road. The Fun Run begins at 8:00 AM and the 5K race begins at 9:00 AM. Pre-registration has closed but you can still join in the fun and register on Race Day. Proceeds benefit the Wynnton Neighborhood Network.

Midtown-Applaud it! Country's Barbecue and Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers were the recipients of two major awards presented Monday by the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce; the 2010 Small Business Giant of the Year and the 2010 Visionary Award, respectively. Congratulations!

Kudos to our Wildwood Avenue friends and neighbors at Temple Israel, recipients of the Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism’s coveted Irving J. Fain Award for Outstanding Synagogue Social Action Programming, one of the highest honors available to congregations within the Reform Jewish Movement.

Congratulations to our good neighbor Wynnton Arts Academy and their Partners in Educationthe 11th Engineer Battalion, the Junior League of Columbus and Wynnton United Methodist Churchfor being named the 2010-2011 Partnership of the Year. During the school year, 759 volunteers worked for a total of 6025 hours. And MidTown’s Carver and Hardaway High Schools were among the top 10 partnerships! Congratulations all!
