We have had a few really generous helpers this week who have added to our sweet community pantry. Thank you to anyone and everyone who ever even thinks about helping to keep this cabinet stocked!

It’s really cold outside. We’ve lost count of the numbers of people who have messaged us recently to tell us they need help. They are homeless, living in their cars or on the streets and in the woods. Some have homes, but no power and no food for their children. Don’t take anything for granted, friends. If you are warm and fed, you are blessed. Please consider sending some items from our wishlist. We can’t meet all the needs we are aware of without your help. #bettertogether

We planned to fill the Griffin Street pantry yesterday morning, and arrived to find it FULL! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to helping others in our community! We couldn’t do this without you!

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the Ola High School Georgia HOSA club for their generous donation of nonperishable food items collected in a food drive they hosted. Many have reached out asking what items are needed for this time of year. We have added a few things to our wish list, including items such as Hot Hands hand warmers. With the cold temps, these really make a difference for those living outdoors or in their vehicles. Placing expired food in the pantry could potentially cause illness for a number of people. Please be sure to check dates on all items you intend to place in the cabinet, and if the items are out of date, throw them away. We appreciate your kindness!

Special thanks to the sweet students of Mcdonough Methodist Academy, who stocked the pantry full of items just in time for the upcoming holiday. Mrs. Bivens’ and Mrs. Duffy’s students took a walking field trip to the pantry today, and took action to help those less fortunate. We sincerely appreciate these Mighty Lions!
