Repost @kplngr Group Yip Howl. 2021. 42 x 70 in. Chalk, graphite, charcoal, and acrylic on wood panel. On view at MOCA GA apart of my exhibition ‘Vinegars’. A group yip howl is when a pack of coyotes howl and yip when their pack comes back together and is celebratory communication. Fun fact I learned while researching this piece - most North American wolves have traces of coyote DNA. Eric Kaepplinger’s solo exhibition ‘Vinegars’ on view now through Jan 8. 2022! 2019/2020 Working Artist Project (WAP) Fellow @byaridannielle focuses on the idea of thriving and not just surviving as an African American woman. My work is a visual journal. Each painting is record of my personal experiences, observations, and feelings. This acrylic archive has enabled me to explore aspects of human frailty and vulnerability, racial and ethnic identity, gender, sexuality, and feminism.
