These films are life changing for many LGBTQA Muslims and it is one of the most effective outreach for our community. From MASGD: We invite our black members to a healing event on Monday, June 8th from 8-9:30 pm EST. This will be hosted on Zoom by three of our community leaders: Mar Aziz, Saif Wideman and Terna (Tayna) Tilley-Gyado. The goal of this event is to provide a healing space for Black LGBTQ+ Muslims to grieve in community. The program will include collective dhikr, meditation and art-making. Folks will also be welcome to take part in a janaza prayer for our folks lost to state-sanctioned violence, and anyone you may be grieving.
