Christmas Day Sing-A-Lones - Part Two

Beth Cernell and I have been playing together at New Hope United Methodist Church for 11+ years, and it has been a pleasure for me to experience the music with ...her. Our recordings are 'one take and we're done,' in order to try to get ahead of the demand by developing a musical inventory for our online 'Corona' worship services. Mainly, we're just having great fun playing together after so many months apart. If you know a few of the tunes, you'll have a great time if you'll just turn the volume UP, throw your head back, project your voice and SING like nobody's watching! In this service, Pastor Joe talks about 'The Miracles In The Bible,' and he specifically highlights 7 miracles of Jesus. Friends & family, We come to our worship service today with sad and heavy hearts. We will all miss the smiling face and the kind, caring, and giving heart of Dotty Bishop. ... August is 'Camp Meeting Month' at New Hope, so during this Covid 19 pandemic, we're doing things a bit differently this year. This video service begins our 5th month of our 'online outreach' to New Hope family, friends and supporters. Please let us know how we can make this experience more meaningful to you. I thoroughly enjoyed the music, was touched by Pastor Joe's message...and felt uplifted after watching this video. Pastor Joe offers a timely message for folks to consider when life around us - or within us - seems chaotic. I have listened to it 3 times already, because it touched my heart. As our church family begins to consider how and when we will eventually return to our 'in person' church services, I (Michael Anderson) found this to be an especially informative and heartfelt message from Bishop Sue. In this video, Bishop Sue describes quite accurately how our services at New Hope UMC will be modified for the foreseeable future, and explains the science behind the request to maintain social distance, wash hands, use hand sanitizer and as an act of love and care for those around us, wear a mask in all public gatherings.

I would love to see more historical pictures of our church, and the people who supported it over the last 164 years.

John Wesley’s 18th-century manifesto could have been written today. This list, based on his writings and on display at the Wesley museum attached to the New Room Methodist Chapel in Bristol, England couldn’t be more relevant for 2020.
