ATTENTION PATIENTS: As of June 28th, the CDC now recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Because of this, effective July 6, 2020, North Georgia Women's Center will begin requiring ALL PATIENTS to wear a face covering of some type while in the office. Face coverings can be a surgical-type face mask, a homemade cloth mask, a ban...dana that covers both the nose and mouth, or any number of other types of coverings. You can cut a piece of material big enough (about the size of a traditional bandana) and use it to cover your face. The CDC has videos on how to turn a T-shirt into a face covering. For anyone that does not present with a face mask, we will have a limited supply of masks that we will sell for $2, to cover our cost. Please remember that our goal is to keep you, and all of our patients, safe. We will continue taking temperatures on all who enter our building and questioning them regarding any potential contacts with others who may have COVID-19. We will also continue only allowing the patient in the building (plus a parent, if the patient is a minor). We hope you will understand that these measures are entirely for safety and not to inconvenience you in any way. See more

Due to the overwhelming presence of coronavirus in our community, from December 21-24, NGWC has decided to limit our patient visits to those with urgent issues only. Please call the office if you feel you have an urgent matter and need to be seen during those dates. We will only be open for a few hours each morning to see patients during those days. All previously-scheduled routine or non-urgent visits will be rescheduled to a later date. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes but are attempting to protect both patients and staff.

Getting the appropriate screening tests is one essential part of staying healthy! These tests help detect potential health problems while they are still treatable.
In the past, open surgical hysterectomies resulted in hospital stays of several days, pain, a lengthy recovery time and a large abdominal scar. Now, minimally invasive surgical techniques result in hysterectomies that eliminate many of the disadvantages of traditional open surgical procedures.
