We are planning a time of worship Sunday, November 15, from 3:00pm 4:00pm on our Northlake back lawn. We will practice safe physical distancing and, so that we can sing to our hearts' content , we are asking everyone to wear a mask We will have extra masks available. Folding chairs will be available, but bring a lawn chair if you’d like something more comfortable.... We will split up and designate restrooms, provide hand sanitizer, and have plenty of space to spread out. In case of rain , we cancel for this Sunday. We will send out an email notification, as well as posting the change on our website and Facebook page. (Please note: Our recorded Virtual Worship Service will be available as usual Sunday morning on Vimeo, Facebook Premiere at 11:00am, and northlake.org).

NORTHLAKE FAMILY We have now moved to a weekly chapel on Wednesdays, and we need submissions. This is a great way to encourage your church family and update us on your life during this difficult season. Would you be willing to make a video? Contact Paul to arrange your Weekly Chapel! Here's what we need from you ... Create a video (about 5min or less) to share with the Northlake church family. The video would include: + A brief introduction Make it personal. Include your family, share an update on your life. People want to connect with you. + A favorite scripture Share a scripture that is meaningful to you. + A prayer + Optionally: share a short reflection, a spiritual practice or a creative piece of art/music

Children have a way of opening our eyes to the magnificent DREAM of God. Jesus' GOOD NEWS is together we can make that dream real and create a more beautiful, just and loving future for ALL! May we pursue this DREAM today and everyday

During our outdoor worship yesterday, we were invited into a prayer walk to pray for the many concerns on our hearts as a community and open ourselves to the movement of God's Spirit If you were unable to join, we invite you to take a minute today and join our journey of prayer. May God be with you today and everyday Pray for Children who are learning online. Pray for Parents who are educating their kids at home and providing financially for their families. ... Pray for Teachers, School personnel and all Child Care Workers. Pray for those who are struggling financially, emotionally, or socially through the pandemic. Pray for those who will visit our Clothing Ministry or receive food in the Drive Thru Pantry. Pray for NETWorks who cares for our community. Pray for those in our Compassion and Assistance Ministry who care for the needs of those in our Church body. Pray for those who are not treated with dignity and struggle to live in peace and with justice. Pray for the witness of the church in times of fear and turmoil. Pray for a constant awareness of Christ’s presence with us. Pray for those who suffer for Christ. Pray Northlake Church might have the courage and love to live out our calling to follow Christ. Pray for those we’ve lost in our church our country and the world. Pray for those in our church family who are grieving. Pray for our Griefshare Ministry, that ministers to our community. Pray for all medical personnel who care for the sick and dying. Pray those we’ve lost be kept in God’s loving embrace until the Resurrection.

IMPORTANT UPDATE This Saturdays food distribution has been CANCELLED. Alternatively, if you NEED FOOD? TEXT: FIND FOOD TO: 888-976-2232... The City of Tucker has received additional funding through the CARES Act, and has partnered with NETWorks to distribute these funds to help people affected by the pandemic. NETWorks has responded in the following ways: 1. They have opened a temporary satellite office for the extra programs, and have added several staff members to handle the financial requests and schedule mobile food pantries. 2. Financial Assistance is available to residents of the City of Tucker. The qualifications and online application can be found at www.networkscoop.org/tuckercares. All applications will be followed up by a case manager. 3. Mobile Food Pantries are being scheduled, and Northlake Church has partnered with them as a distribution location. The next mobile food pantry is THIS Saturday, October 31, from 11:00am-2:00pm, here at Northlake. They need help getting the word out, AND about 20 volunteers are needed. Click on this link to sign up: https://signup.com/go/OvjDQeK. Approximately 400 Farm to Families boxes of mixed produce, dairy, and protein will be available. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until 2:00pm, or until all the food has been distributed.
