In honor of #NationalHumanTraffickingAwarenessDay we are throwing it back to our events that we have done to support @redeem_columbus! Redeem is a Christian, nonprofit organization that focuses on the outreach, rescue, and restoration of women who are stuck in a life of trafficking and exploitation. When we first learned about this organization we fell in love with their mission and how they were changing the lives of women right here in our community. Since then, we have hosted two events to help educate our community and support Redeem in their ministry! We are so amazed at what they do and so thankful for the awareness and hope they offer!

We are all about teaching here at #HomeSweetNovo, so here are some Form First Friday tips! Downdog is a pose that you will find throughout the majority of our classes. From Barre to Buti, from FIIT to Tone36, Downdog is a in our classes. But finding the best form can be challenging sometimes. Read our tips and cues below to find your Downdog! -Make sure you are throughout your hands to avoid wrist pain. Your wrists sho...uld be with your shoulders, and find an in your shoulders. - throughout your spine and create a straight line from your shoulder blades to your tailbone. You can imagine you are pushing your up toward the sky. -Draw your in to your spine protect your lower back, there should be an arch in your back. -Your feet should be apart, and actively press your down toward the mat while keeping a in your knees. The confusion. The chaos. It’s been challenging to say the least. Despite all of this, amidst all of this, we have seen our community , , , , at #HomeSweetNovo in the most beautiful ways. ... When we first opened our doors in 2014, our two co-owners taught twelve classes a week, managed all of the behind the scenes, brainstormed marketing ideas, prayed for members to pour in, and believed that Novo would be the place where women would come to find their safe haven, their . Fast forward and 6.5 years later. We now have twenty staff members, 70+ classes a week, and members both in studio and virtually! We have the best team, the most incredible members, and truly feel so much seeing and hearing how Novo is what people have needed during this difficult time. We believe Novo is the solution. Your mental and emotional health matter significantly! , every part of you. While we know Novo looks different than before, it feels just the same, maybe even . We have seen your hearts.
