Please see the below letter from our beloved Dr. Murray Freedman To My Patients, It is with extremely mixed emotion that I am writing to you to announce my retirement from private practice as of November 2, 2020. This has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made, but it is one I feel compelled to execute. An unbelievably rewarding medical career has been highlighted by the warm, delightful personal relationships I have been fortunate enough to enjoy over... the last 46 years! As I have expressed numerous times, it is the wonderful patients that is medicine’s greatest reward, and for that reason, I am indebted to you for that privilege. Providing healthcare is truly an honor, and to do it in such a terrific environment has been absolutely incredible and amazingly rewarding. That is why this decision has caused me such angstbut it is a decision that I feel I must make at my age (79!) As I enter my retirement, I want you to know that your healthcare needs will continue to be met via Ob/Gyn Partners of Augusta. It has also been my good fortune to practice medicine with extremely competent, caring physicians in whom I have complete trust and utmost faith. Each and every one of them has expressed enthusiasm regarding the opportunity to continue to service your healthcare needs going forward. Our practice has also enjoyed the recent addition of two bright and talented young physicians, Dr. Dalal Eldick and Dr. Susanna Raley. Additionally, we are also excited that a delightful, outstanding physician, Dr. Lucy Brantley, just completed her Ob/Gyn residency at MCG this summer, and she is joining our group and will begin seeing patients in November. It is with tremendous confidence that I leave you in such excellent hands. I hope that you will elect to continue allowing our ‘family’ of providers to serve you in the manner you so rightfully deserve. I cannot thank you enough for all the joy you have allowed me to experience. I never in my wildest dreams thought I could literally love my practice and my patients so much. That is what makes my departure so difficult and causes such sadness on my part. I will always cherish the loving memories and personal relationships, and I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for the opportunity you granted me. I wish you all good health, unending happiness and continuing prosperity. Thank you again for 46 years of friendship, kindness and loyalty. It has been an utterly fantastic experience for me and I feel extremely fortunate. May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause his countenance to shine upon you. We are so excited to announce that Dr. Lucy Brantley will be starting with us on November 2nd, 2020!! We know that you will love her as much as we already do! Lucy Brantley, MD is a Georgia native having grown up in Atlanta, receiving a bachelors degree in Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), and earning her MD from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Bra...ntley values patient education and shared decision making. She is passionate about taking care of women in all stages of life. Dr. Brantley’s special interests include general obstetrics and minimally invasive approaches to gynecologic surgery including incontinence procedures and daVinci robotics.
