Meet Macy and her family: January 5, 2020 we sat down and talked about our new goals for the year. After having a baby in 2019, I had reached my highest weight and knew that I couldn’t keep living that way. I had done WW prior to getting married and it had proven successful. I lost 40 pounds, but quickly gained it back after our wedding. I asked my husband what he thought about starting WW again with me because he had reached his highest weight as well and we could hold each... other accountable. Fortunately, he jumped in and we joined WW that night. We told ourselves, we would join the gym after proving we could stick to the diet portion after a month or two. Well then COVID struck and closed everything, but we weren’t going to let that stop us. We bought a used treadmill and took daily walks in our neighborhood. Once the gym re-opened, we joined right away. We have continued with WW all year. My husband has lost 155 pounds and I have lost around 80 pounds. My husband loves lifting weight and I have a new found love of cycle class! (RPM) but we plan to hit our goal weights this year!Weight and i have a new found love of cycle class! Meet John: My name is John Drury and I am 17 years old. My genetics don't really work in favor of muscle growth or weight loss and in the 7th grade I began to gain weight rapidly. This past July I decided to put a stop to it when I weighed in at 189.8 lbs (40lbs over the average weight for my age/height). I decided to get into the gym and become more consistent with my workout routine. Over time I've started to notice my weightlifting maxes get higher and my body fat get lo...wer. My body fat percentage has dropped from around 30% to now 18% This was all due to my improved diet, sleep and exercise program. This morning I weighed in at 148.8 and my body fat percentage keeps dropping as the months progress. I’ve lost a total of 28.3 lbs so far. The attached picture is a bit older than I'd like but I don't have a better comparison yet. Congratulations John on all of your hard work and success! See more

Meet Ansley: One year ago I decided I wanted to be healthy and really get into my health and fitness. My original plan in this was to wear the same outfit but I decided not to because those clothes don’t fit anymore. I wanted to wear something that I now feel comfortable in! I have to say consistency is definitely the reason for it! I have changed in many ways than none! I look at the picture on my left and it makes me happy to see how much progress I have made this year! There has been so many different small goals and a lot of help that took me to where I am today! There has been so many different things that I absolutely love with weightlifting and can’t wait to see more results! Congratulations Ansley! We are so proud of all your hard work!

Meet Lisa: "Most of my life I have struggled with my weight. I have been mostly overweight but up and down more times than I can count. For the past five years I have been pretty heavy. I have tons of excuses: I have severe asthma, I put everyone else's needs before my own, I'm an emotional eater...you get the idea. The fact of the matter is that they are just that, excuses. I will be 50 in March of next year. I just decided that I didn't want to look and feel the way I felt ...anymore. I wanted to be fit by 50. I want to be better. I want to be healthier. So around February I really started getting serious. (I have always been in the gym, no matter what my weight). I started taking Zone 4 sessions regularly. I started eating healthy and lifting weights. I was ready to give it all I had. I lost about 15 lbs. and then Covid hit. Everything shut down. I was determined not to let it stop me. So I used quarantine to work hard on ME. I took the virtual Zone 4 sessions at least three times a week. (I love Zone 4 so much because it's work. It's work I don't have to think about. It pushes you to your limits and I needed that push.) I ran, I lifted on the days I didn't take Zone 4 and sometimes on the days I did. I never stopped. And here I am 40lbs down. I have much further to go. I have goals, small ones and big ones. I just know that I am all in now. I am ready to be the best me I can be. I truly believe that I have figured out what it takes for ME to continue to succeed with my health/weight loss journey. That is BALANCE. I still live my life. I still enjoy food. I just practice balance. I won't give up. AND I am super thankful to my Onelife Fitness and Zone 4 family for supporting me along the way. Sometimes when they didn't even realize they were.
