It’s theory test week! EVERYONE be excited!!! Also, I have some exciting plans brewing for an outdoor Spring Recital! Read the upcoming newsletter for further details.

I can’t tell you how excited I am about this semester’s Spring Recital. Everyone is playing a Sonatina or Sonata and a piece of their choice. Some of the selections include the following: Beethoven: 1st and 3rd movements of the Moonlight Sonata 1st movement of the Pathetique Sonata... 2nd movement of no. 32, Op. 111 (you know, the jazzy one!) Mozart: Rondo alla Turca I am so proud that I have this many students willing to tackle these challenging pieces!!!

This semester’s composer team competition is well underway! Clementi is winning by about 40 beads! Get to work, Scarlatti and Kabalevsky! The prizes this semester are notebooks we can use as assignment books in future lessons.
