It’s #timeforatip and this weeks tip is all about the weight baby . Winter Fish have a tendency to hold tight to the bottom this time of year. Trout also look for opportunities to use river hydraulics to their advantage. When fishing , look for areas where big rocks or structure creates hydraulics. Fish will have plenty of water movement on each side of a hydraulic. They can sit out of heavy current, have all the dissolved oxygen they could need, and all the while, food of...ferings moving past them. When we as anglers are presented this situation to fish, it’s all about getting your offerings to the fish. Some days even the heaviest of flies can’t get to the fish. ALWAYS have a great selection of shot to get your flies bouncing off the bottom.
