First Monday of the year... how are you doing so far with those New Year's Resolutions? Whether you've set New Year's Resolutions or have some goals you've been working on since before 2021 -- here are a few approaches that may work for you: 1 - FIND YOUR WHY - Figure out WHY Fitness Matters To You: How will it impact your life to feel incredible all day long? How will it affect your professional life if your thinking is clearer and you’re bursting with energy throughout you...r day? How would an improved mood affect your loved ones and your enjoyment of life? how does adopting better fitness habits express your most important personal values? 2 - GET SOCIAL - Find and create social connections with individuals who share your values around self-care. And remember, we're always rooting for you around here at Oxygen! 3 - INVEST IN YOUR FITNESS - Yup. We think you should spend money on your fitness. Now you may (correctly) say we're incentivized to say this. But it’s still true. People rarely value things when there’s no skin in the game. If you want to improve your odds of sticking to your resolutions, make a real commitment to it. 4 - TAKE IT SLOW - Slow and steady wins the race. Especially if you know you have all-or-nothing tendencies. Rather than trying to be perfect for three weeks and then totally off the rails for three months, how about starting with two servings of greens each day and two-rock-solid-consistent-no-matter-what workouts at Oxygen per week? Consistent 1% wins over time slowly turn into better habits. 5 - EMBRACE THE CONSTANT CHANGE - Just like everything in life, our fitness journeys are constantly changing... Maybe the next few months you only take 2 classes a week but say your schedule frees up in the Summer and you're able to add more classes in -- DO IT! Need to modify an exercise in class or thinking about trying that more advanced move -- DO IT! Do whatever **currently** works for you! See more
