Cross Country Teams 3rd and 5th in the State The varsity boys' and girls' cross country teams finished in third and fifth place at the State meet on Nov. 7. The teams, led by coaches Becca and Dan McCauley, wrapped up a successful season despite competing under COVID-19 restrictions. Congratulations to both teams. Go Pythons!

Student run Musical This fall's Student Run Musical featured some of the performers' favorite solos and ensembles from the music theater world. The production was first shared via Zoom last month and is available on Youtube. It features footage filmed in the theatre as well as clips that students recorded from home. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Science Olympiad The high school Science Olympiad team competed in the South Forsyth Invitational Science Olympiad Tournament. Thirty-eight teams from schools of all classifications from five states competed in an all-day online tournament. Paideia finished first in A/AA schools’ class and 14th overall.

Race Day Paideia’s Race Issues Discussion Day began 26 years ago as a way to present and discuss critical experiences and to inform perspectives and decisions. Twice per year, the high school suspends regular classes and devotes a conference-style day of workshops to DEI topics. This fall, our focus is on race, ethnicity, and inclusion. In March, we will focus on gender. Wednesday, Nov. 4, our Race Issues Discussion Day theme is: Race at Paideia: Where do we go from here? The entire high school will engage both intellectually and emotionally with issues that impact Paideia and our society. Our goal is to better understand the issues so that we can improve ourselves, Paideia, and our community.

Cross Country Teams Finish First and Second at Region Meet The Paideia cross country varsity girls are the region champions with four runners placing in the top 10. The boys’ varsity placed second with three runners in the top 10. The two teams now move on to the state meet Nov. 6-7. Congratulations! Go Pythons!
