Pet Buddies Food Pantry

We made lots of deliveries to our medically fragile and senior families over the weekend. We love when Ms. Penny's cats greet us or at least stare at us.

The tire shop has been closed all weekend. When this happens, we have to climb a hill full of city trash and call a meeting of the cats to meet us outside the fence. They gotta eat!

BIG thank you to our friends at the Georgia Pet Foundation who recently granted us spay/neuter funds to help us with our latest outreach project in Palmetto GA. Hudson, Skeekley and Trouble were all fixed in the past few weeks. We have 2 more pets scheduled next week. This project is targeted to a low income community where the number of puppies and kittens being born are high. Over the summer we were able to take a mom cat and her babies to safety and find them homes. Our spay and neuter efforts are going to make a great difference when we are done!

We were asked what our biggest need is - since we help feed 100+ cats monthly we are always in need of cat food and litter. Today, our friends at Banfield Life - Banfield Pet Hospital went shopping and delivered cat/kitten food and much needed cat supplies! We are so grateful! #banfieldlife #banfieldmvp #CaringCounts

BIG thank you to Dogtoberfest EAV and our community for supporting us through the recent virtual Dogtoberfest EAV! What a creative and fun way to celebrate halloween and your love for dogs!

We set up a new feeding station for the tire shop cats. We have several volunteers checking in and feeding throughout the week. The men who run the shop have been feeding the cats scraps, now they can have constant, healthy meals and clean water.

Today looked a little different for Pet Buddies. As we pulled out of the driveway early this morning to get 2 cats to the spay/neuter clinic, we saw this little girl going in circles, we assumed she had been hit by a car and was suffering from head trauma. We picked her up, got her home, secured her in a crate for rest, fed her a banana, then made calls for help. With the help of many animal loving friends and the advice of rehabbers, a rehab was found a few hours away. We dr...opped her off for her exam - she is healthy, old, blind, and in early stages of Dementia. She may never be released back into the wild, but she has a safe place to live out her Granny senior days. Her life would look so much different if she had not crossed our path. Grateful for this opportunity to rescue and learn. Wildlife needs us just as much as cats and dogs do. If you don't know what to do when you see injured or confused wildlife, get them secure and safe, figure out the rest later. There is always a source of help out there. And.. always donate to your local wildlife rehabs, their work is priceless! See more

Yesterday, our mobile outreach dropped pet food off and flea preventatives for the elderly. We have the most caring volunteers.
