This Sunday will be our last Sunday at Philadelphia, although we will be here for the church Valentine's Party on Wednesday. The evening service will be the conclusion of the "Memo From God" sermon I began last week. But for SUNDAY MORNING the Lord gave me a message I am calling "Grand Finale: The Biblical Way To Say Goodbye". We will look at some of the "Final greetings" written in the Word from Jesus, Paul, and Peter. I will draw from that and extend a "Biblical-style" final greeting to Sawgrass from Karen and myself. We hope you will be able to join us this week for this very special time.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PASTOR TIM and KAREN Early in the New Year I received two unexpected phone calls, a week apart, from an old friend on whose staff I previously served. I have not spoken to him for about a year. As it turned out, he has been thinking of contacting me since November 2018. He has been at a new church for about two years and needs a Director of Christian Education, a position that incorporates most, if not all, of my professional experience. At the outse...t, the only leading we had from the Lord was to take each step one-at-a-time and He would make the way clear at the end of the process. As recently as Tuesday, January 22, 2019, when Karen and I interviewed, I still had no clear direction, only to keep taking the steps laid out before us. However, I knew that I would need an answer by the end of January. After much prayer, Karen and I have decided to accept the position. The Philadelphia church family, Hortense Community and the friendships we have made have meant a lot to us and will remain special to us. We will miss you all greatly. Thanks, and Many Blessings.
