#WhyPhiMuWednesday featuring Shalena Mitchell, (Cleveland State Universiy). "I decided to join Phi Mu once I set off for college without much of an emotionally supportive network. I truly needed companions who I could trust in when times got hard. I had heard that Phi Mu had an extraordinary network of sisters and alumnae to coordinate with during college and once I graduated. What I realized was that it wasn't only four years, yet for life. I have discovered a gathering of other minority sisters who I can trust in. They are my stones, my sovereigns, my sisters forever. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without Phi Mu." Do you want to share your #WhyPhiMuWednesday or bio with us for Black History Month? Email [email protected].
Are you free Wednesday evening? We would love to have you join us for our next Ask a Sister event! RSVP below.

This year, CMN Hospitals identified not one but four hospitals in need of our support, starting with Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, which Phi Mu supported at Halloween. As we head into the winter holiday season, we are raising $17,500 for three additional CMN Hospitals: James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. We need YOUR help to reach our goal. Read our latest blog about the impact yo...u make every time you donate! https://phimublog.com//helping-make-miracles-happen-phi-m/ Donate here: https://www.helpmakemiracles.org/index.cfm
See you tonight!!

The next 10 people to donate $100 or more to this campaign or either of the other two hospitals will receive a $25 gift card to Carnation Collection, Phi Mu's boutique. Their Child Life department wants to diversify their library to ensure that the books available represent every child and their abilities. Phi Mu has raised $720 for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. If you haven't donated yet, here is a great opportunity! MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and Phi Mu will be bringing the holiday cheer this year to the patients there. The hospital has asked us to raise funds to provide a holiday tree for the Oncology and Blood Disorders unit patients, and deliver a teddy bear to each patient room during the holidays. Each teddy will be... donated by our members and bring not only joy but comfort to the kids during their stay at the hospital. Help us raise $5,000 to share our love during the holidays! https://www.helpmakemiracles.org/index.cfm
