Wedding bells for baby! Shiphrah and Kameron were due to be married when Shiphrah's water broke early, so Piedmont Fayette came to the rescue. The couple kept their wedding date at the hospital: A chaplain performed the ceremony, and daughter Nia was born two days later.

This flu season has many health experts concerned about a possible ‘twindemic’ of people possibly getting both the flu and COVID-19 this year. Thanks to community member Breesa Crocker and her daughter Carley, the pediatric unit at Piedmont Athens was able to provide some Halloween fun for its young patients. The mother-daughter pair brought in a generous donation of Halloween goody bags for the hospital's pediatric patients. Thanks to their generosity, little Caylee is already feeling much better on her first Halloween, despite being in the hospital.

Today is #WorldStrokeDay!! Piedmont Healthcare, along with all of its stroke partners across the globe, reaffirms its commitment to stroke care. We celebrate our team members and the patients we have been able to help. We take solace in those patients and families who have been impacted by stroke. Today and everyday we strive to make a positive difference in every life we touch and recognize there is still much to do to reduce the incidence and impact of stroke.
