Pine Mountain Police Department 15.01.2021

For those who have not seen this piece from Emily Gagnon at CBS46, this is a must-see on our local hometown hero Tae Crowder outlining his journey from Pine Mountain to the NFL New York Giants. From the 255th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and designated Mr. Irrelevant, Tae has been anything but Irrelevant. Tae had a very impressive rookie season and despite just missing the playoffs, we are very encouraged by the growth and development of Tae and the Giants organization. Congratulations from the Town Tae Mountboy Crowder on a great rookie year!

The deadline for responding to the 2020 census has been extended to 31 October. Assistance is available at Town Hall during normal business hours. It will take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

You are Sponsoring Pink Ladies for Breast Cancer Awareness. These ladies started this in 2008 and are non profit. All girls on motorcycles to raise awareness. We are a reminder to get check ups. We pay for mamograms for those that cannot afford to. For those that cannot work because of the effects of Cancer and treatments, we help in different ways. If they need assistance with Cancer or effects of Cancer, they contact us, answer a few questions and we decide how we can help them. We do this all year long as long as our funds last. Chief Ferrone along with other officers will also sport a pink beard all month long if $5000 is raised.

Last night at the Pine Mountain Town Council meeting, Chief Ferrone and Sgt. Lattimor presented Pine Mountain resident Tae Crowder with a sign that will be posted at the Town limits of Pine Mountain in honor of his great accomplishments. Tae was raised in Pine Mountain and had a very successful high school career here in Harris County then moved on to a successful college career at the University of Georgia. Tae was taken as the last pick in the 2020 NFL draft and along with that was propelled into the national spotlight for his title of Mr. Irrelevant which is the title bestowed each year upon the last pick of the annual National Football League draft. We wish Tae all the best as he continues his journey with the NFL New York Giants. Photo credit to Andy Kober
