Positive Fields

Unfortunately, we need to shut down operations during the pandemic. It's sad, yes, but let's look on the positive side (that's what we do here)! We're taking the time we need to completely re-engineer our approach and refine our mission. Online learning and teaching is, for better or worse, going to be a BIG part of how we move forward. If we do things right (and take our time), we'll be more effective. Another BIG component to our future operations will be MOBILITY. The industrial arts tech we employ is becoming cheaper, smaller, and better. We believe we can expand our reach by taking our show on the road. Update: Today we assembled and delivered 99 emergency face shields. This batch is going to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital and Troup Co. Fire Department. This brings the total amount of shields we've donated to 1,149. Our amazing volunteers (Rebecca Keller, Andy Hursey, George Chip, and Elisa Dallas) have put in an incredible amount of their personal time and energy to help us do the painstaking work of assembling these urgently needed PPE items. He's been doing a split full day here at Positive Fields and at his grandmother's store- Hometown Quilt Shop, tirelessly making face shields and face masks every day for the last 3 weeks. I also want to thank, again, Newberry Industrial (Jimmy Brown, Grayson Dyer, and Ryan Kinsey) for everything they have done to make it pos...sible for us to create these face shields at this high capacity.
