Just because things have always been a certain way, does that mean it’s the best way? Sometimes things need to be taken down and put back the way they’re suppo...sed to be. Like the initials on this gate. Yes, it can be messy, but it’s something in your life that’s usually been staring you in the face for a while and you know it needs to change. While this gate was installed around 1982, it did not bear the initials of the family that built the home. But to do things right, many times you have to slow down and take off all of the layers that have covered things up through the years, then remove the pieces that maybe should never have been there in the first place. Only then can you put back what really should be there and then finish it properly. While the brick fence and the gate at the side entrance of the The Nowell-Wheeler House were not original to the home when it was built in 1916 (as you can see in the photo), it is now part of the legacy of the property. This brick fence has been in place for almost 40 years, but that doesn’t mean that it has harmonized perfectly with the legacy of the home. The new initials NW now connect the home with its true legacy. Part of our goal professionally is to be sure that everything in YOUR legacy is in proper alignment and harmony.
