Cold weather tip from your favorite Steel Challenge staff. As the cold weather approaches, you may experience some issues with your rimfire guns not cycling. This is a 2 fold problem, one being contracting metal closing up some needed tolerances, and the other being lower velocities with some ammo. Getting some hand warmers and keeping them with your ammo and mags will help alleviate poor cycling issues. You can also look for lubricants made specifically for cold weather applications. Good evening folks sorry for the delay in opening registration. All of the staff were helping out the the GA State USPSA match. This month we are doing things a little different. Because of the Glock match we will be using the Action Pistol bays not cowboy hill. This will be an all outlaw stage match. We will be running 5 stages but expect to see a few more targets than the customary 5 per stage. Good afternoon folks, registration will open at 8:00AM tomorrow. I will be at the range at 7:00 to set up and can use any help in the morning so come a few minutes early to help set up. A few changes to address COVID concerns: Registration closes at 8:00PM tonight. No walk ups will be accepted.... When you arrive make sure you check in at the cowboy shack. Shooter meeting will be held in each bay. Please ensure you are maintaining social distancing and washing your hands often. Hot water and soap is available in the bathrooms. Tablets and timers will stay with the squad. Refund Policy: If you withdrew via Practiscore by 9:00AM on Friday we will move your payment to the next month’s match. If you do not use the credit during the next month’s match it will be forfeited. If you are a no show or notify after the 48 hour window you will not receive a credit. No cash refunds will be issued for any reason. We will be running 7 stages this month with a max of 10 shooters per squad. See you at the range!
