Pictured is a pond that we completed this week, it had not seen any maintenance since initial installation about 20 years ago. We first removed all of the overgrown trees, next we removed the accumulated sediment in the basin, and finally we repaired the rock aprons and inflow pipes at their headwalls. #excavation #excavator #pond #georgia #landmanagement #stihl #husqvarna #caterpillar #bluecollar #landscape #construction #contractor

Getting some hydroseeding done today!

Generally, stormwater ponds need sediment removal every two to ten years (or when sediment fills 25 to 50 percent of the storage volume). This pond had not had any maintenance since it was installed about 20 years ago! First step was removal of severely overgrown trees, we are in the second phase of removing sediment and debris. Final phase will be to replace riprap and filter stones.

The supply chain shortage has made job preparation quite difficult, however we always find a way to get the job done. 18 elliptical pipe secured. Lebanon, TNAtlanta, GA #excavation #utilities #construction #environmentalservices #atlanta #ford #bigtex #concrete

One of our crews completed a beaver dam removal yesterday, the dam was blocking the spillway and causing the pond to hold 2 feet of excess water. Don’t let beavers control your property. #excavation #construction #georgia #atlanta #pond #waterway #caterpillar #landmanagement #bluecollar #destruction

There is a connection between stormwater, drinking water, and the quality of our lives. Check out this cool link to see how a raindrop makes the journey through our river systems. While tools and machines help, it’s people who put projects and plans into motion. Hats off to Greg and his team for a job well done in 2021! This project involved replacing a failed stormwater pipe in a tight space. The best part of this project: getting to know the wonderful homeowners who are now like family to us
