Good afternoon everyone, I know you all have been waiting for the specifics on 3D state, so I hope this answers your questions. I plan to have Sport80 registra...tion open on Monday 25 May. Understand that all the changes and restrictions put in place are the only reason we can have this event. I understand that some changes will be an inconvenience and just plain different than we are used to, but understand that our options are this way or don't have an event. As far as I am concerned that isn't an option. All these restrictions are to stay in compliance with CDC guidelines, GA Governor executive orders, and best practices identified by S3DA. 1. There will be no shoot downs, only tie breakers if required after 20 targets. 2. SOY will still be accumulative score of 1 indoor regional, Indoor state, and 3D state. 3. Scholarships this year will be based on a essay competition that will be announced on Monday, but archer must also be eligible for SOY. 4. Only one spectator may accompany an archer on the range. Spectators can rotate out but never more than one per. 5. Two coaches may locate themselves on the range or stay mobile incase needed but should not congregate with groups. 6. No more than 4 archers to a group. 7. Targets will be spread enough to allow social distancing. 8. Archers will pull their own arrows. 9. No community water jugs will be present on the ranges. There will be some water bottles to pass out, but everyone in encouraged to bring plenty of water. Two shoot times and two ranges. Morning time: ALL Elementary and Middle School Barebow, OLY REC, and Open (Male and Female) check in / practice range 8am. At assigned target 9am Awards immediately following completion Afternoon: ALL high school classes and Middle school Bowhunter (Male and Female) Check in / practice range 1pm At assigned target 2pm Scholarship presentation followed by awards immediately following completion. The kitchen staff will follow all CDC and FDA guidelines during food prep. Packaged food, drinks, and snacks will all be available if there are any concerns. The only perquisites to compete is be a current member of S3DA and be a member of current S3DA club/team. Attending State is required if you intend to compete at Nationals.
