Mini-Grants for FY 2019-2020 up to $5,000 Available Now! The Richmond Community Services Department (CSD) is accepting mini-grant applications to support organi...zations that are Richmond-serving and that partner with and/or consistently utilize facilities managed by the Community Services Departments. Grants up to $5,000 are available to support organizational programming and/or projects that make use of the CSD’s aquatic centers, community centers, parks, and the convention center and can encompass programming around youth sports leagues and teams, special events, educational forums and classes, recreational classes, stipends, CSD facility rental fee payments, and overall community enrichment. The Richmond Community Services Department is urgently looking for volunteers to assist with a new and lightly used clothing boutique tomorrow and grocery event... hosted by White Pony Express for participants of our summer camp program. Volunteers are needed for the Front of House team as Exit Hosts between 9:45 AM and 2:00 PM at the site. This is the team that manages the flow of guests through the store sessions. We have people who hand out tickets, people who take the tickets upon entry, and people who stamp the guest’s hand when exiting to indicate the person has been through the store. Our inventory has been organized to provide for 550 guests in three store sessions. Please consider volunteering if you are available and willing! Volunteers can also participate in the event either before or after a shift. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up with the link in this post and/or check in at the volunteer desk tomorrow in the Social Hall to register. Site info is on the flyer above. We will be giving every volunteer a tabard and name tag (which are to be returned at the end of the event). Calling all volunteers! Check out this opportunity with the White Pony Express to help support a free clothing boutique for our summer camp kids. White Pony Ex...press Free General Store is looking for volunteers to join us on Saturday, August 11 as we host our 53nd Mobile Boutique for the Richmond Summer Day Camp and Richmond Police Athletic League. Will you join us? We’re bringing a special Back-to-School Mobile Boutique and Mobile Grocery for children in the summer day camp program and their families in the Richmond area. The event will be held at: 3230 Macdonald Ave, Richmond, CA We hope to serve 550 guests, more than half will be children aged 6-12. Because we will only have three Shopping Sessions, we’re asking for volunteers for both the AM and the PM shifts. You would be volunteering to begin at 10:15 am and end at 2:00 pm.
