On Christmas day the Santas at Smith Currie Fort Lauderdale delivered Christmas presents to their adopted family. Adopt-a-Family for the holidays is a project coordinated by the Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. Matthew Cox of our Columbia, South Carolina office donated his time to the Bishop’s Storehouse for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints in Columbia, South Carolina. Matthew took part in filling Christmas orders for produce, meat, dry goods and personal hygiene items to those in need. The Storehouse in Columbia receives dry and canned goods from Salt Lake City, Utah by way of its distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia. Perishable produce is delivered each Monday m...orning locally and is then distributed throughout the region which stretches along the east coast from Savannah, GA to Shallotte, NC, as well as inland across the State of South Carolina and into Gastonia, North Carolina and Shelby, North Carolina. In additional to filling food orders for individuals, the Storehouse also serves other churches and Food Banks in the region with humanitarian requests. Filled orders are delivered by volunteers who come to drive the truck on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning usually leaving out at 4:30 am. #55for55 See more

We continue to march toward our goal of completing 55 community service projects in 2020 to celebrate the firm's 55th anniversary.
