Somerby Cruise Ship had two buses take an offshore excursion last night to see Christmas lights at our local town’s Candy Cane Lane Communities! They had such a great time, they went to six different places! Somerby Cruise Ship took three bus trips for our residents to vote. It was really sweet to hear what they had to say. My father treated voting like a Holiday! We use to get ice cream every time voting came around. I have never missed voting since I was 18. This is my 60th year of voting. My parents would be proud of me for voting today! December Resident Spotlight 3 - Resident Frank graduated from Somerby Cruise Ship last Thursday. We are SO SAD to see him go! He was the number one attendee for Bingo, Tranquil colors and Picture Puzzles on the wall for our Summerbreeze building. Every time you talked to him, he was like your best friend. You can always pick up where you last left. He was very warm & friendly with everyone. NOVEMBER ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT 1 - Please help me CONGRATULATE RAY AS OUR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Ray Stancu is married to his beautiful wife, Diana, & has two beautiful girls, Emma, 8 years old and Scarlett, 6 years old. They are his life. He loves the outdoors & spending time with his girls doing outside activities. His hobbies are restoring cars, fishing, biking & fixing anything that’s broken. He’s worked at Somerby for 2 years now. Ray is in the Engineering Department. He loves being part of such an incredible team that is always willing to help. He really enjoys serving our amazing community. His favorite part about working at Somerby is getting to know our residents and their unique life stories. We’re blessed to have him!

NOVEMBER RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT 1 - Social Butterfly Delores is a Somerbreeze Resident who loves to be around people as much as possible she is a very social & active person. She grew up in Atlanta, GA. She and her husband grew up going to elementary school together, and he moved away around the age of 10. They met again at a dance hall when They saved up, and when he got back they bought their first home and lived happily ever after. He got a job at the ATL polic...e department, and she worked at AT&T. They both retired and moved to Brooks, where Bob had wanted to live for a long time. Two years after moving, Robert passed away of a heart attack. She said he was the love of her life and they were very happy together. Her advice for young people today would be: 1. True love is worth fighting tooth and nail for; don’t let it go. 2. Truly live. Life is short so find joy when and where you can. We love this Social Butterfly!
