Today we celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day. It’s a special time to pause and honor the journey of those we love who have survived cancer - and those we love and have lost. We also want to celebrate the families who show up with strength and courage as they care for their loved ones. This Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives to protect this country and salute those who continue to do so.

Not only is the month of May Oncology Nursing Month, but today is also National Nurses Day. We are truly blessed and want to send a special Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our amazing team of nurses who go above and beyond to take care of our patients.

We at South Georgia Center for Cancer Care want to help spread love to the courageous fighters out there who are going through bladder, brain and melanoma/skin cancer. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Five things we're doing to be here for you. 1. Our doors are open and we are continuing to care for our community with smiles on our faces. 2. We are ready for your calls. Have questions? We're here for you at 912-875-7604. 3. We are rapidly implementing Telehealth. That means you can visit with our doctors from the comfort of your home. 4. We're taking care of ourselves so that we can take care of you. We're getting rest, taking care of each other, and following CDC recommen...dations so that we can take the best care of you. 5. We're staying positive. We've learned from our patients the enormous healing impact of a deep breath and positivity. Our patients know how scary the unknown can be, but they've taught us that with faith, making sure that everyone around you knows how much you love them, and by taking it one day at a time, that all of us can handle huge challenges with grace and even a bit of joy. Never forget, we are always here for you.
