Thank you for entrusting us with your loved ones during a most difficult journey. As a caregiver, you should never feel lost and alone. We love what we do and we will walk alongside you. Today on National Caregiver’s Day, we honor the caregivers who give up so much of themselves for their loved ones. You are the true hero. #hospicecare... #nationalcaregiversday SouthernGraceHospice.com

New Volunteer Alert Volunteer Opportunity & Orientation Information! Let us introduce to you this dynamic sister duo. Tiffany and Lauren have WOWED us from the very beginning. Tiffany reached out to us because she had started her own volunteering project called Heart to Heart. Her project encourages college students to write letters to patients who are home bound, and have little contact with the outside world. The project became a strong and powerful initiative a...nd she wanted to ensure our home bound patients benefited from heartfelt words of encouragement from kind strangers. After speaking with her she realized she felt compelled to be more involved with hospice care and work in our office and with patients. Shortly after a few weeks, her sister Lauren, joined us. In addition to volunteering with us, Tiffany volunteers her time with a center for Autism, and a pediatric group in Atlanta; and she has currently applied to med school. Lauren works, goes to school and aspires to be a physical therapist. They are amazing high-achieving young ladies and we are so proud to have them on our team. Thank you, Tiffany and Lauren, for having ginormous hearts and sharing them with the world. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or would like more information, please join us for our next volunteer orientation on March 11th. If you would to like to join our team please call the office at 678-432-8811 or complete a volunteer application on our website at https://www.southerngracehospice.com/volunteer #volunteer #bereavement #servantsheart #hospicecare

Ideas for honoring your loved one during the holiday season. Remember to be gentle with your heart. Purchase a small evergreen tree from a nursery, decorate it and replant it after Christmas. Light special memorial candles each day or use one larger candle and light it daily.... Display a single fresh flower. Have a special time when family and/or friends share holiday memories of your deceased loved one. Offer a dinner prayer or toast to your loved one. Purchase a gift for your loved one and then donate it to a charity. Hang a special Christmas stocking in memory of your loved one. Give money in the amount you would have spent on gifts to a charity in honor of your loved one. Celebrate a holiday on a different day for example, Christmas, on New Year’s Day. Focus on helping others. Make a memorial ornament to display every year. #grief #bereavement #loss #hospicecare https://www.southerngracehospice.com/bereavement-services
