We are so happy to announce Dr. Kimberly Cross, MD has joined our Southern OB-GYN family!! Dr. Cross received her Bachelors of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and her Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Georgetown University Hospital/Medstar Washington Hospital Center, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. Lets get to know Dr. Cross a little more. She enjoys gardening, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family and friends! Her husband Alonzo (Lonnie) is a High School Teacher and ACC Football Official! Please help us to welcome Dr. Kimberly Cross to Southern OB-GYN!!

We are happy to welcome Sarah Stone, APRN-CNP as one of our Nurse Practitioners!! Sarah is available to see gynecological patients for wellness exams, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and medical counseling. While this is a new role for Sarah in our practice, she is not new to our family. Sarah first started with our group in 2000 as a receptionist. She left to obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse and returned to our group while continuing on to graduate scho...ol for her Nurse Practitioner certification. Sarah was most recently a Nurse Practitioner while serving our country for 5 years as a Major in the United States Air Force. We welcome you back to the Southern OB-GYN family, Sarah!

We are excited to announce that Liz Burling has joined our practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife! Liz attended school at Valdosta State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She continued her education at Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Liz most recently worked with an OB/GYN group in Albany but has recently returned to Valdosta to reside and join us at Southern OB/GYN! Please help us to welcome Liz Burling, CNM to Southern OB/GYN!
