What does individualized learning mean? At Springmont it means teachers that know each child well - not just academically but as a whole person. It means patience, careful guidance, and the gift of time that allows students to discover the wonders of language, mathematics, geography, and the sciences and how they are interrelated and relevant to the world.

The moveable alphabet - what's that? It's is a brilliant Montessori material that allows children to start spelling out words long before they have the fine motor skills to write them. Writing your own words is a key part of the Montessori method of learning to read and write a kind of bridge between the two skills. Have you heard? There's a class incentive for the Springmont Fund! Originally, each class that reached 75% parent participation today would be treated to a King of Pops Popsicle Party with Jon. But, given the chaos from Zeta, we've decided to extend the deadline to Friday, November 6. If temperatures stay cool, we will reevaluate for another special treat. Get your gifts and pledges in and bring a little extra joy to your child’s class! https://payit.nelnet.net/form/3DIKznrL

Toddlers work with their hands and learn best by doing. What they hear only, they may forget, but what they do they remember. Toddler parents are encouraged to join tonight's Parent Education event on Zoom to hear more about how Toddlers construct themselves by using their hands!
