Another Eagle making us proud over the long weekend! 1st grade student, Ella, donated over 14 inches of hair to the Locks of Love organization to help children battling hair loss due to cancer. (And, of course, Star - the Stratford Eagle - had to make an appearance!) #StratfordShoutout
#EaglePride on this Saturday. 3rd grade student Tyler (and his awesome mom!) collected 5 bags of trash from roads around Macon! Our students are servant leaders from the get-go!

Just a sweet picture of the cutest little eagles in their pj's on this chilly day. We hope you're enjoying your winter break!
There are no words to express how ABSOLUTELY AMAZING our parent volunteers are. SIP has outdone themselves for our annual faculty/staff holiday luncheon! In a year where so many things have been "different," our parents have found a way to recognize Stratford's faculty and staff in a safe, COVID-friendly and absolutely stunning way. Thank you....we feel uplifted and appreciated! #SIPfacultyluncheon #stunningdecor #honeybakedhammacon #youtakethecake
We hope our families had a very Merry Christmas! Enjoy the rest of the break with your families, and we’ll see you back on campus on January 5!

Happy happy 50th birthday to the "queen" of our preschool and lower school, Dr. Kelly Causey. It was a great day to surprise and celebrate her! We love you #happy50th #stratfordlowerschool #stratfordpreschool
There is hardly a member of our Stratford family whose life hasn't been touched in some way by Mr. Andy Lawson, beloved middle school history teacher and former middle school principal. As many of you know, Mr. Lawson decided to take this year off to focus on staying healthy and hopes to return to Stratford next year. As a man who has spent the majority of his holidays surrounded by the children he loves, it brings me some heartache to imagine how different his holiday season... must be this year. As a result, I'd love to make Mr. Lawson feel special by overwhelming him with well wishes and holiday greetings. There are two ways we hope to facilitate this: 1. Mr. Lawson loves snail mail, so if you'd like to send him a card/letter via this route, please send an email to [email protected] and we will reply his mailing address. 2. Make a selfie video (keep it under 30 seconds) where you share a memory and wish him well. Those videos can be emailed to [email protected]. We will compile them and send him a video full of memories and well wishes. We would like to have all videos by Jan. 4, to present with him as New Year's greetings. The snail mail can be sent at any time. I hope you'll join me in celebrating a man who is not only a legend, but the very essence of Stratford. Logan Bowlds Head of School/Chief Energy Officer (CEO)
Thank you, Scott Chalkley '05, for helping your hometown! #stratfordalumni #stratfordclassof2005 #merriechristmasproject
It’s always s’more fun at Stratford! Thanks to the nearly 50 prospective preschool families for joining Mr. Bowlds for s’mores and stories on the playground! We love our littlest Eagles and are looking forward to ANOTHER full preschool next year!

What treat to have Jonathan Poe, Choirmaster and Organist from Christ Episcopal Church, on the grand piano in the Virginia Parker Buzzell Gallery today with some holiday cheer!
On Dec. 11, 2020, head of school Logan Bowlds made a special announcement to the Stratford community about a gift made by the Hutchinson family for the purpose of renovating the soccer facilities. The project will have a far-reaching impact on our school's campus, students, and faculty. Many thanks to the Hutchinson family for their generosity.

REMINDER TO UPPER SCHOOL FAMILIES: Our annual Upper School Winter Holiday Charity drive, sponsored by the Student Leadership Board, is underway and this year donations go to Safe House of Central Georgia. We are asking upper school students to bring in either $5 OR two (2) of the items listed below by Friday, December 11. If every person in a homeroom brings in the minimum requirement, that homeroom will receive a dress down day when we return after the holidays. Thank you ...so much for helping us support this organization! Here are the items for each grade: 12th grade: Toothpaste, Women's underwear packs (medium-XL), Tuna fish cans, Peanut butter 11th grade: Toothbrushes, Pop tarts, Granola bars 10th grade: Small umbrellas, Oatmeal/grits packets, Microwavable small meals 9th grade: Deodorant, Canned soups/vegetables Gift cards accepted for all grades: Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, McAlister's, Visa, etc. Safe House of Central Georgia is a non-profit that provides confidential shelter to women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. These women often come to the shelter with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and the Safe House must provide many essential things to these women and children to give them a sense of normalcy. Safe House provides community crisis intervention, shelter, support, empowerment, and recovery services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence and works to educate the community about the cycle of violence and its prevention. They also provide confidential temporary housing for survivors and their children until they can transition into a safe and stable living situation, as well as legal and educational support.

Stratford senior Haaris Ahmed was recently selected as Points of Light Honoree. In 1990, the Points of Light Foundation was created by former President George H.W. Bush for the purpose of inspiring, equipping, and mobilizing people to take action that changes the world. Since that time, thousands of individuals worldwide have been recognized by the Points of Light organization for their community service. In October, Stratford senior, Haaris Ahmed, received notification that... he had been selected as a Daily Point of Light honoree. Haaris has been a volunteer with the local Mentors Project since the ninth grade. He began working with them as a tutor in their afterschool program and serving as a protégé for one of the students. Last spring when the nationwide shutdown occurred, he came forward to Mentors Project director, June O’Neal, and asked how he could help serve her organization. Over the following months, Haaris delivered hundreds of meals to families whose children were served by the free and reduced lunch program in the public school system. In his interview with the foundation, Haaris said, I think it’s important for others to volunteer for them to share what they have with others and to help build our society in the best way possible. Recently, Haaris received a beautifully mounted certificate from the Points of Light Foundation and a letter of congratulations from the foundation chair, Neil Bush, son of the late President Bush. Thanks to our friends at the statewide magazine Georgia Trend for highlighting the diligent efforts we have undertaken to remain open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of intentional leadership and our cautious Stratford community, we have one of the lowest case counts in the entire state of Georgia.
