Strathyhall cemetery

Reminder: Bryan County NAACP Youth and others Clean-Up day at Strathy Hall Cemetery 455 Ogeechee Dr. (Off Hwy 144) Richmond Hill, GA 31324 tomorrow, September... 20, 2020 from 6:30-8:00pm. You have to sign a volunteer waiver agreement in order to participate I will have some available tomorrow to sign. Our assignment tomorrow is to clear bushes, debris, clear trash that's in the cemetery, and remove down trees. We're going to need saws, rakes, wheelbarrows, trash bags, and Cutters (like weed whackers). To be safe please wear long pants, boots or closed in shoes, gloves and bring bug spray.

Good evening everyone, I will be out at the cemetery on Saturday this weekend from 9:30am to 12 pm, my plan is to continue cutting brush on the east side, spraying roundup around the areas re growing and gather trash. Should you want to join me that would be wonderful. Dress in closed toe shoes... Have jeans or long pants on Bring a pair of gardening or similar gloves Bring your gardening equipment eg weed Wacker, machete ,big shears etc I too will provide trashbags as the trash is Neverending and that needs to be picked up. If anyone has a ride on mower that can cut the grass around the trash houses that would be huge as i have not had time to do so. All volunteers will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement or you will unfortunately not be able to work on the property. I will have the agreement on hand. Just had a great meeting with our neiborhood water company, with regards to the well station on the corner of the cemetery on strathyhall drive.They have agreed to replace the old ugly chain link fence and replace it with a white solid wood fence, repair and paint the shed and paint the green tank to suit. This will not only improve the look of the neiborhood and cemetery but also shows that they are willing to work with us in this awesome project.

The Bryan County NAACP youth conducted their 1st clean up at the Strathy Hall Cemetery in Richmond Hill on Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 6:30-8:00pm. The next cl...ean-up day will be in September. Present were Richard Appleton (cemetery owner), Bryan County secretary-Alicia Clyburn, Youth Work Chair (Princess Bolen), Act-SO Chair (James Fulwood). Youth present were Alaiyah McPhail, Aleiyah McPhail, and Jamal Griffin.
