Today in Sugar Hill Kids we learned about the prophet Obadiah! The Book of Obadiah is God’s message about Edom in response to their sinspecifically their gloating over the Babylonian invasion of Jerusalem. When the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem, the people of Edom didn’t help. Like an envious brother, Edom was glad to see Judah overcome. In fact, Edom was a guilty participant in the action against Judah. (Obad. 11) Like God’s people were mistreated by the people of Edom, Jes...us was mistreated by His own people. God will punish sin. Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment we deserve for our sin. We can trust Jesus to make wrong things right. Given the current spike of COVID cases in Gwinnett County, we have prayerfully made the decision to remain online only January 10 and 17. We plan to return to in-person programming on January 24. As a result, the Kids New Christians Class that was scheduled for January 17 is also postponed. Stay tuned for the rescheduled date!

This week in Sugar Hill Kids, we talked about how God was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Only He could rescue them. God rescues us too, through His Son, Jesus. Only Jesus can save us from our sin. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross provided the way for us to be rescued from sin and have eternal life. Can you believe that 2021 is already here?! Wow! As we remember this past year, we are amazed at how much we learned in 2020! Most importantly, we learned how every story in the Bible points to Jesus. This week, we wanted to recap our 2020 year with a fun little competition. We hope that as you watch you will follow along and see how much you remember about our time this past year in the Old Testament. Can you get all the answers right? Head to sugarhillkids.com/virtual-church to find out! ---- #sugarhillkids
