As we continue past the first few months of "Life with Covid 19", we have made several changes in our office and office procedures to try to make our patient's ...experience even more safe and continue quality care. Most of these changes will remain in place and may very well become permanent. Currently we are trying to streamline exposure to others by not having the waiting rooms open, and grouping non contagious visits together in the mornings and early afternoons, while grouping possible contagious visits together in the later afternoons. We also stopped Saturday "walk-in" hours, as we could not adequately manage patient flow and possible exposure with adequate staffing to keep our patient's safe. After much deliberation, we just can not find a way to make that experience safe enough for everyone involved. Therefore we will not continue to offer the Saturday "ill" visit time now or in the future. Please continue to follow social distancing, hand washing, and especially mask wearing in public to keep you and your families safe.

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Southwest Georgia Pediatrics will cancel Saturday Clinic until further notice.

Secondary to current concerns with Covid-19, Southwest Georgia Pediatrics is implementing the following policies in an effort to decrease illness exposure: * We... are having all patients wait in vehicles with no waiting in the waiting rooms. * We ask you to limit the number of persons that accompany the patient, preferably only one. * We are disinfecting more aggressively, typically after each patient's use of equipment/rooms. * We are trying to provide information about Covid-19 and similar illnesses as it becomes available. * As testing is not widely available, we are NOT providing testing upon request. * At this time we are still encouraging families to KEEP well visit appointments under the care of our current measures to decrease exposure in order to make sure overall health and immunizations are maintained.
