Should I use an agent? Will I receive a better deal on the price of the house w/o having an agent? Absolutely use an agent! As a buyer, the representation is free. The agent listing the home has a duty to get the seller the most profit for their home. If your goal is to get a deal and the listing agent's goal is to get the most money for their client, the seller, are you at an advantage by not having your own FREE representation? When can you officially close on a home after you've received the "clear to close" and all final disclosures have been signed?
