The symptoms of a heart attack in women are different than in men. For example, women may not have the classic "elephant-on-the-chest" pain symptom that men report. Learn more at https://qoo.ly/3ajuyx #heartattack #AmericanHeartMonth #TannerHeartCare #TannerHealthSystem

Our senior leadership team was featured in a New York Times article on the strain COVID-19 has put on the nation's hospitals. Please, wear a mask, avoid large gatherings, keep your social distance and do what you can to stay well. From the Times:

COVID-19 continues to impact our communities. Our visitor policies help stop the spread of the virus. Remember: Each patient may have one visitor per 24-hour period. Visitors must remain in the patient’s room.... Masks must be worn at all times within the hospital. Use hand sanitizer or wash whenever you enter or leave a patient’s room. Temperature checks and screening are required to enter the hospital. Patients are encouraged to use technologies like Facetime, Facebook Messenger and video call applications to stay in touch with loved ones. For the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, visits to COVID-19 patients are restricted. Thank you for protecting our patients, communities and the healthcare heroes on within our hospital.

Pardon our progress! A section of the walking trail at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton will be closed for about two months as we continue tying the Carrollton campus into the Carrollton GreenBelt. A good portion of the daytime walking trail at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton remains open, so you can still get your steps, and our walking trail at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica is also available.

People who have recovered from COVID-19 have a lot of fight in them, in the form of antibodies in their blood plasma. These antibodies could help other people fight it off, too. The more plasma collected, the more people who can be helped. Please watch this video: https://qoo.ly/389fb7. Visit thefightisinus.org to see if you qualify and find a donor center near you. Potential donors also can call 1-877-PLASMA9 (1-877-752-7629). #thefightisinus #TannerHealthSystem
