I have not ONCE but TWICE have had to steer clients away from this kind of scheme. One client delusional by the prospects of being able to "monetize" millions of blocked funds, paid the $500k fee to "access the funds" and ignored my advice. The other client heeded my advice and refused to participate. Guess which client still has their money and is not out $500K?
