With a heavy heart we say goodbye to one of our favorites. Golden retrievers are one of the most kind hearted breeds and love everyone and everything Abby Holbrook was the most beautiful gentle soul and we are grateful her daddy Larry Holbrook allowed us to groom and love on her for so many years. She will be missed. :(

In this business, dogs quickly grab your heart and become "family". You watch puppies grow and finally, as years go by, you watch them begin to age. As they age, you get a little more "attentive" about their health. You watch their eyes cloud and see them slow down. You let them lay down while grooming them and explain to mom that the grooming isn't going to be as perfect as it should be anymore. You notice differences each time they come in for grooming. ... They see you as an old familiar friend and still wag and kiss you and offer their paw. Your heart swells Then, you notice a lump or a bump that wasn't there before...and you notify mom. Mom calls and tells you that the "lump" that you found was cancer... and thanks you for finding it so there can be more time. Then, "time" creeps up... and, every time you see the dog for its grooming appointment, you start to wonder if its the last "time". They keeps surprising you... but, you know, in your heart that time is near. Your heart drops when the pet parent calls and you are so relieved when its just for another grooming appointment. FRIENDLY REMINDERS FOR OUR CLIENTS: :) We open daily at 10am Tues thru Saturday. Your dog may be with us from 1-4 hours. Please be patient with us as we do NOT rush dogs and we have many we are tending to. We like to give them breaks and because we pay close attention to detail, we prefer to take our time. We will always attend to special needs dogs, geriatrics and puppies first.... We do have express service available if your dog has anxiety or you have a specific early time you would like to pick up your dog. Please notify us during the morning check in so we can make arrangements for you to get your dog done first. :) When you drop off your dog, unless a pick-up time is pre-arranged, we will notify you by telephone when your pet is ready. Thank you for your patience understanding! :)
